Unfortunately the Wild Rock Grill, where we have been having our game watching parties, has decided to close its doors for good. As of right now we do not have another venue that will allow us our own space to watch our beloved Vols. With that being said it is imperative that we find a new place because who really wants to sit next to a bunch of alabubba fans when you are trying to watch The Mighty Tennessee Volunteer Football Team beat up on somebody? I can assure you that I will be visiting several bars (somebody's got to do it right?) in search of a new home for our group. If you have a suggestion or idea of a place where we can watch our games going forward PLEASE send me an e-mail at mcgeeb@yahoo.com. We are looking for a place that is smoke-free and will dedicate an HDTV with sound for ALL (must have ESPN Gameplan subscription) the UT games. It would be nice to have a room or certain section of the venue that we can be in for the game, but at this point beggars can't be choosy.
As for Saturday's game and what to do. This is one of those games that will be hard to get on your regular TV package. It will be broadcast on CSS and ESPN Gameplan, but I know that most of us don't have ESPN Gameplan or CSS. I will be at the On Tap Galleria location (smoke free), but Fox & Hound as well as Buffalo Wild Wings and other On Tap locations will be carrying the game. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but hopefully we will have a new home for our group on Saturdays soon.
