Youth First CBS42 Holiday Toy Drive

The Birmingham Big Orange Club (BBOC) has teamed up with the City of Birmingham Mayor's Office Division of Youth Services to present its annual Youth First CBS42 HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE to provide toys to underprivileged youth within the City of Birmingham.

We are asking all BBOC members to  DONATE  A NEW/UN-USED TOY to THIS YEAR'S DRIVE held on December 12, 2013 at Southern Legacy BBQ & Brew 2943 John Hawkins Hoover, Al 35244 beginning at 6:00p.m.

All donations will be will be distributed at the Division  Youth Services 1608 7th Ave. North, on Dec 19th from 10:00a.m. -12:00p.m. and 2:00p.m.-4:00p.m. Members are welcomed to volunteer for the distribution date. Please email to RSVP for the distribution date no later than Dec 16th.

October Meeting with Joey Kent - Friday Oct 25, 2013

The Third weekend in October is special in many faithful Tennessee Volunteers' hearts. Tennessee's all-time leading receiver, Joey Kent was instrumental in helping establish the nickname 'Wide Receiver U' for the Vols.  Joseph " Joey" Kent was born in Huntsville, AL, graduated from J.O. Johnson High School in 1992. He attended the University of Tennessee from 1992-1997, and became the All-Time leading receiving leader in school history with totals of 183 catches, 2814 yards and 25 touchdowns earning 1st team All-SEC honors in 1996. He also had 15 100-yard receiving games, four more than any other Vols, including a record seven-straight during the 1996 campaign. Kent is one of just five Vols to lead the team in receiving yards for three straight seasons.  I want to invite everyone out for good for and great fun with a friend of ours.
